An Arts Council Grant Don’t Come For Free

1- hour show by crap poet-Odious Vex.

Be a poet, or Die Trying.

Spend some time in the company of Swindon’s number one poet, rapper part time car washer and Paintballer- Odious Vex. He’s living proof that just because you want to write poetry, it doesn’t mean you should. He’ll be explaining why drugs are bad, war is bad, and sexism is bad- and that’s bad in a bad bad way and not a good bad way.

His 17- year old wisdom of the world includes clumsy rhymes, contrived metaphors and A level Sociology political insight from his new 1-hour show “An Arts Council Grant Don’t Come for Free (Be a Poet or Die Trying)”

“The poems are ones you sit there listening to, wishing you had written yourself. You will laugh, that is guaranteed. A great combination of talent and a very funny set. Writers Fountain

a tight observational routine with razor sharp ridicule and a high laughter content” B24/7

“From the moment Angie takes to the stage every line she delivers is crude, funny and instantly relatable and quite simply fun to watch. She is charming, silly and makes honest and awkward observation. At every point during her set you’re either laughing or catching your breath in preparation for the next fit of giggles.” Tara Pilkington, Apples and Snakes 2015

“Angie pitched it perfect for our departmental Christmas bash. Funny, poetic and topical leaving the audience with a fantastic night to remember . Highly recommend Angie for private and corporate events.”
Adrian Quinton, Zurich Insurance Group

“Angie stepped in at very short notice to act as compere on the main music stage and the main ring for this year’s festival. With very little time to prepare she familiarised herself with upcoming acts and performers and hosted the event in a professional manner. She worked tirelessly throughout the entire three days and we would have no hesitation in recommending Angie ”
Arthur Street, Tiverton Music festival

“Thank you so much. You pitched your performance to perfection this afternoon, holding it all together, driving it forward at the right pace and making the whole event fun and informal.

You created a great atmosphere and everyone left the room happy -even I think the poets who didn’t win!We could not have had a better MC. Thank you.”
John Steed, Gloucestershire Poet Laureate Organiser

“Funny, crude and incredibly charming she wowed what was her home audience. Angie’s encore had the crowd whooping and cheering”
Bertel Martin, Poetry Promoter, Word Of Mouth.
